Benoy is tasked with the conceptual design for the refurbishment and extension of the Königsgalerie retail mall. The façade and entrances will be rejuvenated to make the mall more inviting. Internally, the retail layout will be reconfigured to increase the functionality of the existing space while creating a more open environment that seamlessly connects to the planned extension. The main influence for our design is the European boutique model that will create a wonderful backdrop for the overall shopping experience of guests. Light, shape and texture are combined to guide visitors effortlessly through the mall and break up the current rigidness. Once complete, Königsgalerie, will become an important part of the city’s ‘shopping mile’.
